~My Field Of Study~

My major is dance. I have been dancing since I can remember. I have not picked a specific category but I am pretty sure I am going to choose performance. I have never taken formal classes before i came to Clumbia, which is also a main reason why I chose Columbia College. The selection is oustanding and they believe in people. I have always wanted to be a dancer since I can remember, but I was scared to go after my dream. I would love to perdorm on tour or in videos(not a video vixen). Dancing alos allows tou to travel a lot, and who wouldnt want to travel the world and have it paid for. I realize it is hard career, but I believe I am a strong and determined individual. I mainly do hip-hop dance, but I love contemporary dance. Ballet is hard, sometimes I feel like I will never catch on until I get a good job from the teacher..lol
I am also in this field becasue i believe I am a creative person. I beieve I can bring alot to the table..not to sound cocky because I love learning new dances. I also think this field is for me becasue I learn quick and it is something I love doing no matter the circumstances. I know this sounds cliche', but dancing is my passion!

cHICAGO pOTHOLES... :(

As I was leaving Hooters restaurant this weekend my friends and I decided to go bowling. The night was rainy and cold but that didnt stop us. As soon as we made it to the bowling alley we heard a big boom and immediately got scared. Because it was raining so hard it was puddles we could not see much and we hit a chicago pothole(mood- pissed). I knew I had a flat so my boyfriend got out the car to check and YES we had a flat. The only positive thing was we was in front of the bowling alley. When my boyfriend started to fix the tire he noticed we had two flats because of the pothole, I could have smacked the major if he was present.
I believe the the city of chicago potholes are a pain in the ass! tHE POtholes are so big and unavoidable at times which causes the resisdents to lose money. This is not fair, I should be able to drive down a street without being paranoid of potholes. I also have a problem with the potholes only being in the more urban areas. When I am in the suburbs the streets are smooth even if your car is a hooptie.
I heard they have a complaint process and you could get your money back, but the money takes eternity. These potholes should be taken seriuosly.
